On my last day of kindergarten, my teacher encouraged the class to come dressed as the person they wanted to be when they grew up.
Amidst a sea of cheerleaders, ballerinas, cowboys, and a few doctors, I stood out in her prim schoolmarm dress with my hair twisted into a bun. My dream in kindergarten was to be a teacher and I have spent the following decades since doing just that in public education and educational publishing.
Once a teacher, always a teacher—I loved teaching kindergarten and now love collaborating with teachers to create engaging materials that hook kids into the power of learning. I am so happy to call Abrams Learning Trends home and the Letter People my friends.
