Similar to many of our stories, my personal interest in improving literacy was stoked by a mother who was an elementary school teacher, and a father who published one of the most successful phonics programs in history (the Modern Curriculum Press “plaid” Phonics series). When I was younger, I remember vividly attending educational conferences with my dad in the late 70s and early 80s… and always had a contest with my sister to see who could collect the most buttons.
Fast forward to today, and I now find myself one of the most fortunate Presidents & CEOs in the nation. As the proud owner of Abrams Learning Trends, I get to watch my team continue to help shape the way in which children learn, each and every day. And that...that is a truly remarkable thing.
