“NO,” thundered Hector. Midas shriveled back into his buggy. “I promised the bull would be safe. I keep my promises,” Hector said defiantly. Midas shook with anger. “You still have to find my cattle and bring them to me. Every one of them.” Hector nodded. “I will.” “And if you fail, the bull dies,” Midas said in a slithery tone. Hector gave the bull a steady look. “I will not let you down.” The bull snorted in gratitude. With great determination, Hector got on his horse and set off into the desert again.
